DPF, EGR & AdBlue
Solved Systematically.

DPF, EGR, and AdBlue are closely linked – a fault in one component quickly affects the others. Symptoms often overlap, which is why systematic diagnosis always comes first.
These three systems are connected. A fault in one can trigger symptoms across all – which is why resetting fault codes without proper diagnosis is never a reliable solution.
A straightforward, diagnostic-first process to resolve emission faults safely and permanently.
DESCRIBE THE SYMPTOMS
STEP 2
INITIAL ASSESSMENT
Based on your description, we evaluate how critical the issue is and advise whether the vehicle is safe to drive to our Malgrat de Mar workshop.
STEP 3
DIAGNOSTICS & TESTING
Once your vehicle arrives, we connect dealer-level scanners to log real-time sensor data, exhaust backpressure, and soot levels – no guesswork.
STEP 4
CLEAR PLAN. YOUR APPROVAL. THEN WE FIX IT.
We explain what we found in plain language, outline the recommended repair path – cleaning, sensor replacement, or calibration – and begin work only after your approval.
We do not believe in temporary bypasses. Permanent, systematic solutions — so the fault does not return.
DIAGNOSTICS
Targeted System Testing
Before any physical work, we run targeted pressure, temperature, and electrical tests to verify sensor accuracy and isolate the exact failure point.
RESTORATION
DPF & EGR Cleaning
Professional on-car chemical flushes or off-car deep cleaning to safely dissolve carbon and soot deposits, restoring original flow capacity.
Component Repair & Replacement
We rebuild or replace faulty hardware – EGR valves, AdBlue pumps, injectors, heaters, and delivery lines – using components that match original specifications.
Sensor Testing & Replacement
NOx, temperature, and differential pressure sensors – tested and replaced to stop false dashboard alerts.
Software Adaptation & Resets
Forced regenerations, adaptation resets, and ECU calibration – performed after the repair, never instead of it.

DPF Health
We measure soot mass, differential pressure, regeneration history, and temperature sensors to determine if the filter requires cleaning or software adaptation.
EGR Response
We test valve actuator response, carbon build-up levels, gas flow rates, and related ECU calibrations to ensure proper recirculation cycles.
AdBlue Diagnostics
We inspect tank components, pump pressure stability, injector dosing flow, sensor integrity, liquid quality, and control module errors.
Connected Engine Data
We evaluate turbocharger boost pressure, fuel pressure, and injector behaviour — engine faults frequently mimic or trigger emission warnings.
Choked Performance
Restricted exhaust flow creates high backpressure, reducing turbo response and increasing fuel consumption.
AdBlue Countdown Lock
Active AdBlue or SCR errors trigger a mileage countdown. Once it reaches zero, the vehicle is locked from starting.
Turbocharger Damage
Soot blockages trap exhaust heat inside the manifold, overheating the turbocharger and causing premature bearing failure.
€1,500+ Replacement Risk
A neglected DPF eventually melts internally. Replacing the unit costs €1,500 or more – early diagnostics and cleaning cost a fraction.
